We have made the very difficult decision to drop United Healthcare (UHC) commercial insurance. We will no longer be under contract with UHC as of 03-06-2025. Their reimbursement rates are not keeping up with inflation and the increased costs of running a small medical practice such as ours. Unfortunately, by dropping the commercial plan, we have been forced by UHC to also quit accepting Medicare Advantage plans that are administered by them. In early 2024 we had to stop taking Medicare Advantage plans that were administered by Aetna. This is becoming an unfortunate trend in the Medicare Advantage market, which controls which providers you can see and which treatments are covered.

This was not a decision made lightly and we realize the impact this has to access of care and our continued longstanding provider-patient relationships that go as far back as 2004. We very much want to continue providing you the high-quality medical care you have come to expect at our practice and have adopted a direct-pay model that is transparent and posted on our website. Your prescriptions, labs and pathology expenses will continue to be covered by your insurance. Some plans will allow out-of-pocket costs to be submitted and credited towards your out-of-network deductibles.

We completely understand if continuing your care with us in a direct-pay setting is not an option and will do our best to recommend other providers that you can transfer your care to.
