Neuromodulators: Botox and Dysport
Botox and Dysport are neurotoxins that work by temporarily weakening muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines such as those in the glabella (11’s), forehead and crow’s feet (around the eyes). Neuromodulators /Toxins can be used off-label to achieve facial slimming/contouring when used in the masseter and temporal muscles, to reduce down-turning of the corners of the lips, chin wrinkling, to reduce the show of teeth during smiling (known as the gummy smile), reduce the appearance of fine lines around the mouth (known also as smoker’s lines) tighten the jaw line in some instances, and reduce the appearance of neck bands, among a few other uses. Results appear within a couple of days and can last up to 3-4 months depending on the dose and location used.
This is a simple procedure that takes minutes to perform and has minimal downtime. Side effects are uncommon and usually short-lived.

Non HA fillers- Sculptra and Radiesse
Sculptra helps to replenish lost collagen and activate the skin’s natural regenerative process. It is an injectable poly-L-Lactic acid preparation that is injected into the face causing your body’s own production of collagen. This non-toxic, biodegradable substance has been used for more than 40 years as suture material. Onset is gradual and usually consists of 3 injection sessions over 3-4 months or more. Sculptra is semi-permanent, but needs occasional touch –ups to maintain results.
Radiesse provides immediate lift and correction but continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen. Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Over time the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres, leaving behind only your own natural collagen.
